Australia’s luxury motor yacht builder, Riviera, will premiere the new Belize 66 Sedan motor yacht in a four-model showcase in conjunction with dedicated Riviera and Belize representative Grande Yachts International at the Palm Beach International Boat Show in Florida beginning on March 28.
The display will also include the premiere of the sporty and adventurous Riviera 395 SUV model. The sophisticated Riviera 5400 Sport Yacht and blue-water 52 Enclosed Flybridge will also be on display. Grande Yachts International dealer principal Bryan Braley said he and his team are proud to display these superior models to American motor yachting enthusiasts at Ramp 7, South Flagler Drive, in West Palm Beach.
“These motor yachts epitomise the combined commitment of Riviera and Grande Yachts International to fulfilling the lifestyle dreams of America’s discerning motor yacht owners,” said Mr Braley.
“Over a 40 year heritage, Riviera has evolved to become renowned around the world for innovative design and every motor yacht is developed and built specifically for the often challenging blue-water conditions of Australia’s coastlines. The alfresco layouts, merging the welcoming and superbly equipped cockpit spaces with luxurious and comfortable interiors, are the hallmark of Riviera motor yachts. The accomplished international designers, engineers and master craftsmen at Riviera’s yard in Australia are continually refining the designs and easy-to-use technology and equipment aboard these motor yachts that make the joy of Riviera ownership a sheer pleasure,” he said.
Belize 66 Sedan – Palm Beach International Boat Show Premiere
The Belize 66 builds on the heritage of a luxury motor yacht that evokes the style of a bygone era of yachting, of gleaming hand-crafted interiors and, most importantly, of individuality.
Riviera CEO Wes Moxey said: “We have been able to include a wide range of options as standard in the Belize 66, beginning with the overall layout of a single-level lifestyle sedan or a daybridge with classic bimini top or hardtop.”
A swim platform is submersible to assist in launching and retrieving the tender from the garage and the spacious cockpit features a dinette and L-shape seating in the starboard fore quarter, a comprehensive barbecue unit and a second lounge. A massive forward sundeck offers a large sunken U-shape lounge and a central dinette.
A large awning window links the cockpit space with the galley while a sliding glass door provides entry to the salon. The expansive U-shape gourmet galley is aft and the dinette is forward to starboard with a free-standing lounge or armchair opposite.
A water-tight pantograph side door opposite the dinette provides immediate access to the portside deck. The helm area offers a range of options; a minimalist single-seat layout to starboard or a more expansive central location with companion seating.
The accommodation deck offers many layout options: three or four staterooms including a midships Master, and three bathrooms. A space aft of the master stateroom can be fitted out as full beam bathroom, a massive walk-in wardrobe, a utility room, workshop or a crew cabin.
Superior power and performance for the Belize 66 is provided by twin Volvo Penta 1350 12.8-litre in-line six-cylinder D13 common-rail diesel engines. These advanced engines combine fuel injection with twin-entry turbocharging for incredible low RPM response producing 746kW/1,000hp working together with the perfectly matched IPS 3 pod drives with twin counter-rotating forward-facing propellers. The engines and drives deliver very impressive fuel efficiency, low noise levels, long cruising range, high top-end speed and exceptional maneuverability through joystick control.
Riviera 395 SUV – Palm Beach International Boat Show Premiere
The sporty and adventurous Riviera 395 SUV displays a contemporary elegance, from her entirely new design with feature hull windows to European-inspired fabrics and cabinetry throughout.
Her open cockpit is perfectly designed for relaxing and entertaining or for a raft of water sports. A lounge and table in the forward port quarter invite alfresco dining and relaxation.
This new model offers two generous staterooms and a bathroom that includes a separate shower stall, toilet and vanity on the accommodation deck, a spacious saloon with fully-equipped aft galley to starboard and a dining and lounge area opposite, a forward helm to port and a guest viewing lounge in the starboard forward quarter.
Power and performance for the 395 SUV is provided by the twin Volvo Penta D6-IPS 500s with in-line six-cylinder 5.5 litre common-rail diesels which are both turbo and supercharged for incredible low RPM response producing 272kW/370hp working together with the perfectly matched IPS 1 pod drives with twin counter-rotating forward-facing propellers. The engines and drives deliver very impressive fuel efficiency, low noise levels, long cruising range, high top-end speed and exceptional maneuverability through joystick control.
The systems, drives, engines and Glass Cockpit electronics on all Volvo Penta-powered Riviera and Belize motor yachts are covered by an industry-leading five-year limited warranty to complement Riviera’s structural five-year limited warranty.
The Palm Beach International Boat Show will be open from March 28 to 3.
